Over the past few days we’ve seen athletes around the world join the fight against racism by sharing personal statements and messages on social media, but now it’s time to put the words into action.

Tyler Seguin was one of the NHL players who used their platform for the greater good and he followed up in his statement later in the week by joining protesters in Dallas to mourn George Floyd.

Seguin wasn’t alone, as he was joined by former Dallas Stars goalie Marty Turco during the march.

Listening. Learning. Mourning George Floyd. Today was powerful and I feel a greater sense of community. #blm

Seguin mentioned fighting for change in his original statement and he’s showing now that he meant every word he said.
