Rory McIlroy got to do something on Tuesday afternoon that no one else has ever done before and that’s fire golf balls inside Yankee Stadium.
As a way to kick off the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup playoffs and to celebrate the company’s recent donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, McIlroy decided to fire some golf balls inside Yankee Stadium for a charitable cause.
Some St. Jude’s patients also got to join McIlroy and took some shots of their own inside Yankee Stadium.
According to Cut4, McIlroy attempted to hit FedEx targets on the field with his shots and managed to hit one on his very first try.
There’s something you don’t get to see everyday. That must have been an awesome experience.
