As the NHL season approaches, teams around the league are unveiling their new threads for the season. There actually seems to be a trend of 90s-inspired throwbacks this year, although there are some brand new designs in the mix as well.
Which of these are you feeling?
Obviously, this is totally subjective, even across the BarDown staff, but speaking broadly, the Jets, Sabres, Blues and Canucks’ Flying Skate jersey are all highlights to us. The gold on the Sabres’ 50th anniversary jersey is just so well done, and of course, how could we hate on (Jesse voice) YOUR WINNIPEG JETS.
That ultra clean Flames design deserves a mention too. And also the Gretzky-era Kings throwback. Even the Canes jersey, which was initially met with some controversy due to the college-style lettering, is a hit as far as we’re concerned.
They’re all great! Shout out to the tarps.
