Connor Hellebuyck impressed the Winnipeg Jets so much during his rookie season he ended up with the starter’s role last season.

Although he saw a decrease in a lot of his stats, Hellebuyck showed the Jets that he’s capable of playing a majority of the season in the starter’s role and this summer he changed up his training routine in hopes of getting back to his 2015-16 form.

Set to compete with Steve Mason and Michael Hutchinson for the starting job, Hellebuyck plans on keeping his job from last season and has a new mask that will surely help him standout.

The mask was airbrushed by Steve Nash of Eye Candy Air and it’s definitely the sharpest looking mask in Hellebuyck’s small collection of NHL masks.

Last season, the 24-year-old Commerce, Michigan native posted a record of 26-19-4 and put up a 2.89 goals against average and a .907 save percentage in 56 regular season games.
