One of the greatest traditions in sports has to be players getting to spend a day with the Stanley Cup after they win it.

Every player ends up doing something different, and even if they do something similar to one of their teammates every player finds a way to add their special touch to the celebration.

The most recent member of the Pittsburgh Penguins who got to spend a day with the Stanley Cup was defenceman Kris Letang.

On Sunday morning, Letang and his wife took the Stanley Cup to Ste-Justine Hospital in Montreal and spent the day visiting kids in the hospital.

Letang spent nearly two hours at the hospital, where he posed for pictures and signed autographs for all the patients he visited throughout the day.

Letang wasn’t the only player who visited some youngsters with the Stanley Cup. On Saturday, Marc-Andre Fleury spent some of his time with the Stanley Cup at the Ronald McDonald House in Montreal.

It’s always cool to see the players have fun with the Stanley Cup and share the moment with their friends and family, but it’s even better when they go out into the community and share it with fans who don’t get the opportunity to go to the hockey rink during the season.
