Team Canada kept their hot start at the 2017 IIHF World Championship going on Sunday as they picked up a huge 7-2 victory over Slovenia.

Canada jumped out to a hot start, as they scored within the first five minutes of the game. They added another four goals, including a Nathan MacKinnon hat-trick, before Slovenia got their first goal of the game.

Shortly after Slovenia got on the board, Mitch Marner burst their bubble completely by scoring his first goal of the tournament nearly a minute and a half later.

After a very impressive rookie campaign with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the 20-year-old is picking up where he left off with the Maple Leafs only he’s doing it as a member of Team Canada now.

Great birthday in Paris, thanks for all the wishes! πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠ
