If there’s something that really needs to start catching on as soon as possible across baseball it’s bat dogs.

There are already some Minor League Baseball teams out there who have themselves a bat dog and have been using bat dogs for years, so we wanted to take some time to show all those hard working boys and girls some love.

Slider is the bat dog for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and is clearly just loving life and happy to be back on the field after missing time because of the covid pandemic that put sports to a complete stop.

And let’s not forget about Turbo, the bat dog for the Bowling Green Hot Rods.

Having a bat dog is a win for everyone, from the players to the fans, to the dog itself, because everyone gets joy out of the entire experience. Just ask Finn, the bat dog for the Las Vegas Aviators.

They probably get all the food, water and treats that they need, but they also get a massive field to play on during off days and after the games wrap up.

Umpires don’t always go with the flow of the bat dogs, though, and we’ve seen how fans react whenever that takes place as they’re always going to side with the dog.

Sometimes they forget that they’re supposed to be on the job and hard at work and get distracted by the atmosphere around them, but that’s totally alright.

It’s time for baseball teams at every level to start adding a bat dog to their roster because everyone loves it.
