LeBron James is going to the Los Angeles Lakers, and if you’re a Lakers fan you’re likely pretty excited about it. It’s hard not to be when LeBron just completed his 8th straight trip to the NBA Finals, proving that you’ve always got a shot at glory when you’ve got LBJ on your side.

Apparently not everyone is happy about it, however. After a beautiful mural was crafted illustrating LeBron in a Lakers jersey with the tagline “The King of LA” scrawled across it.

Unfortunately for the artist, that goes by the name Jonas Never, the mural didn’t last too long untouched. Within almost no time at all, vandals got their hands on some paint and expressed their displeasure.

Not long after the artist fixed up the mural, it was defaced once again.

As a result, Jonas Never will be giving up for now. He maintains that he will try it again another time, but it is likely a good call considering how much of a vengeful eye it has on it at the moment. Still, there’s nothing sadder than watching an artist cover up their hard work because a group of vandals want to express their subjective opinions.

The LA artist is not giving up hope, and overall he seems happy that the Lakers and LeBron (and perhaps himself) have gotten so much attention out of the subject. Soon enough even the most spiteful Lakers fans may turn over a new, more appreciative leaf.
