The Anaheim Ducks are one team that’s definetly looking forward to the Christmas break more than most clubs.

According to ManGamesLost.com, the Ducks and tied with the Buffalo Sabres for the most man-games lost in the NHL.

The Ducks played the first chunk of the season without top two centres Ryan Getzlaf and Ryan Kesler, and didn’t start the season with Sami Vatanen (who was traded to New Jersey for Adam Henrique because of the injuries down the middle) and Hampus Lindholm in their lineup. After getting Getzlaf back, the injury bug struck again, this time landing Corey Perry on the IR with a knee injury.

Factor in a health issue for winger Patrick Eaves, and it should come as no surprise that the Ducks have basically treaded water for the first third of the season, sitting three points out of the final wild card spot in the Western Conference.

To celebrate the special time of year and a much deserved mini three-day break in between games that will surely provide some great res time, Francois Beauchemin, Hampus Lindholm, Rickard Rakell, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry and Ryan Kesler all collaborated on a special animated Ducks holiday Christmas video.

The video starts off with Wild Wing –  the Ducks official mascot – sitting in a control room mashing a bunch of buttons that controls a “naughty or nice” option on a screen. Wild Wing then finds a special switch inside the room that makes everything become animated, and that’s when all the magic begins.

Those are some pretty sick rhymes from “Getz” and the boys.

Normally, we see Christmas videos that actually include the players in them, the animated versions almost make them better in a way.

We need more of the Ducks rapping, don’t we? Perhaps the bigger question to ponder over is what will this do for Wild Wing's spot on the BarDown Mascot Power Rankings?

Happy Holidays everyone!
