The Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angels were supposed to open a four-game series in Arlington, Texas, on Monday, but Major League Baseball stepped in and postponed the game after the tragic news. On Tuesday, the two teams took the field, but not before holding a moment of silence for the late Tyler Skaggs.

A beautiful tribute video was put together and played on the jumbotron while players and fans from each side stood and paid tribute to the Angels pitcher. On top of that, the Rangers also added Skaggs’ No. 45 in Angels colours and numbering, while the Angels added a special patch to their jerseys.

Skaggs was drafted by the Angels in the first round of the 2009 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Santa Monica High School and played two seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks and was in his fifth season with the Angels.
