Jose Bautista has found a new home for the 2018 MLB season.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Atlanta Braves announced the official signing of former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista to a one-year, minor-league deal through their Twitter account. However, the position they listed ahead of Bautista’s name left quite a few fans confused as to which Jose Bautista they actually signed.

Since Bautista spent a majority of his time with the Blue Jays as an outfielder or the designated hitter, Braves fans thought the team had signed someone with the same name and it was just a coincidence. But what many people probably forget or don’t know about Bautista is that he spent most of his time playing the infield before he landed in Toronto, but that didn’t change some of the Braves fans' minds.

Bautista hit 25 or more home runs in six of his nine full seasons with the Blue Jays, but is coming off one of his worst years at the plate as he finished with 23 home runs and 65 RBI to go along with a .203 batting average, a .308 OBP and a career-high 170 strikeouts.
