The Toronto Blue Jays became the talk of Major League Baseball when they acquired five-time All-Star Troy Tulowitzki, but after playing in just 238 games with the team from 2015-2018, the Jays decided to cut ties with the 34-year-old shortstop this offseason.

Tulowitzki has yet to find a new home so far this offseason, but he’s probably not in any rush to land another contract since the Jays will still be paying him $38 million over the next three years. On Friday night, singer and actress Bette Midler reached out to the Jays to see if their need of her services NOT to play baseball for them, and she’s willing to do it for a little less.

Midler usually tweets about politics, but this time she decided to switch things up and weigh in on some baseball chatter.
