For the first time since his rookie season, Danny Green is playing for a team other than the San Antonio Spurs.

The North Babylon, New York native spent the 2010-11 season moving around between the NBA and the NBA D-League, but became a regular member of the Spurs the following season and a key piece of the franchise for the next six years. During his time in San Antonio, Green got the chance to learn from some of the best in Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker.

Parker recently called it a career, and he received plenty of heartfelt messages from past and present players around the league. Since Danny Green has been a little busy with the NBA Finals, he hasn’t exactly had time to reach out to his former teammate. However, the 31-year-old got some downtime on Wednesday night and used that time to show Parker some love.

Green and Parker were teammates from 2010-2018 and captured an NBA title together in 2014. Green has a chance to win his second NBA title this season, but he’ll still need another two after that to catch up to Parker.
