For the first time in league history, there’s a Canadian team in the NBA Finals, and while there may be a ‘us against the world’ mentality for Raptors fans, the data actually suggests that an overwhelming majority of Americans are rooting for Toronto.

We The North America?

What could be the reason for this? Well, Draymond Green has theories and suspicions.

Frankly, that’s just some good trash talk from Dray. But where is the lie? With three championships, a chance at a fourth this year, as well as all kinds of regular season accolades to their name, this era of the Warriors probably makes a strong case for all-time consideration. You figure that fans from across the league have to be tired of these guys.

Dynasty fatigue aside, there’s an exciting underdog narrative with the Raptors as well, and you can see just how excited the city is to be here. It makes them easy to like, and you can see just how strong the support is.

After winning Game 1, the streets were absolutely wild!
