The San Jose Sharks made a last minute splash before the 2018-19 NHL season as they acquired defenceman Erik Karlsson from the Ottawa Senators in a blockbuster trade before training camps got underway.
Sharks fans were quick to give Karlsson a warm welcome to town and they’ll get to see their newest star in action for the very time (during the regular season) when they host the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. While Karlsson jerseys have flown off the shelves in San Jose, one fan decided to improvise to show his support for the two-time Norris Trophy winner.
We’re not sure if this is a Senators fan who made the trip to San Jose and is now calling himself a Sharks fan due to the blockbuster deal or if he’s just a Sharks fan who has always appreciated Karlsson’s skill, either way he found a way to show some love for Karlsson in his new home.
