As TSN Insider Bob McKenzie alluded to earlier in the week, the Montreal Canadiens wouldn't be sitting on their hands during their off week. On Tuesday, they proved McKenzie's prediction right, firing Michel Therrien and hiring Claude Julien.

While the Canadiens have a few days left on their off week, Julien is nonetheless on his way to Montreal to begin his second head coaching tenure with the Canadiens.
