The Toronto Maple Leafs got back in the series in a big way on Saturday night as the defeated the Montreal Canadiens 5-1 to even it all up at one game apiece.

Toronto ended up getting six power plays in the game, including four in the second period where they took the lead with a power play marker, compared to Montreal’s one power play. Fans displayed their frustrations for the officiating during and after the game, and the lone goal scorer on the night for the Habs was right there with them after the game.

When asked about the amount of calls that Montreal received compared to Toronto’s, Jesperi Kotkaniemi answered in a way that wouldn’t land him a fine but clearly showed he and his teammates are frustrated.

Kotkaniemi was clearly unhappy with the officiating in Saturday’s contest, but simply left the media with a “no comment”.

While the Habs weren’t happy with the officiating, Maple leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe had some different comments about how everything played out.

The Habs weren’t the only team to show some frustration with officiating on Saturday, as Lightning head coach Jon Cooper had some similar feelings earlier in Florida.
