The New York Rangers selected Kaapo Kakko 2nd overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and it didn’t take Rangers fans very long to buy into the hype.

As a teenager, Kakko scored 22 goals and 39 points in 51 games in the Finnish Elite League, so it’s easy to see why they were all so excited about the Finnish winger joining their team. In fact, they were so excited about Kakko’s arrival that the 18-year-old’s jersey sold out at Madison Square Garden on opening night, leaving some fans without new threads.

Well, on Thursday Kakko made a special trip as he personally delivered one of  his jerseys to a fan who couldn’t get his hands on one that night.

Kakko only has two NHL games under his belt but he’s already winning over the hearts of the Rangers faithful.

The Turku, Finland native hasn’t registered a point just yet, but they’re on the way.
