Professional sports franchises are always showing love for the other teams they share the city with. From cross-promotional giveaways to special edition uniforms, it’s a trend in professional sports that isn’t going to die anytime soon.
The Los Angeles Kings have rocked different Los Angeles Dodgers themed uniforms in the past when they’ve held their annual Dodgers Night, but Thursday night they’ll be representing a different Los Angeles based sports franchise when they take the ice against the New York Islanders.
It’s LA Galaxy Night at the Staples Center on Thursday night so the Kings will take the ice for the pre-game warm-ups in custom Galaxy-inspired hockey jerseys. On top of the special threads, which will be auctioned off during the night, Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimović is expected to be in attendance for the game.
Fans who purchased the special ticket packages to Thursday’s game will also receive a Zlatan Ibrahimović Galaxy T-shirt jersey, which will also include an LA Kings logo.
