No one expected the lowly New York Knicks to compete with the Toronto Raptors for four quarters on Monday night, but it was a win that might have come at a price for the Raptors.

Late in the game there was a scary scene for Raptors fans as Kyle Lowry went down hard after a collision with Knicks rookie Mitchell Robinson and stayed on the ground for a few moments while grabbing his ankle in pain.

The 32-year-old point guard ended up walking off the court and back to the locker room on his own, but ended up missing the remainder of the game with a right ankle injury.

Following the game, Lowry was asked about the play with Mitchell that sent him hobbling off the court and mentioned that he thinks it was a little bit dirty on the Knicks rookie’s part.

Marc Gasol also chimed in on the play that sent Lowry to the room but doesn’t think the youngster was trying to take out Lowry on purpose.

Nick Nurse mentioned after the game that he doesn’t expect Lowry’s injury to be serious, so Raptors fans can breathe a little easier.
