The Toronto Raptors made history on Thursday night in Oakland as they captured their first ever NBA title in franchise history with a 114-110 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

From the second the final buzzer sounded to the team’s post-game celebration inside the locker room, there were all sorts of great moments that came from the biggest night in Raptors franchise history, but one of the greatest parts of the night came right before Rachel Nichols’ sit-down interview with Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard.

The exchange between Lowry and Leonard before the interview actually started is something that should have every Raptors fan optimistic that Kawhi is going to return next season, and hopefully for many more after that, but even more great moments came from the interview itself.

Leonard shared how he and Lowry worked together right from the get go to try to make things work out in their favour and it clearly worked as they’re now NBA champions for the first time. Kawhi also joked about how Lowry doesn’t want him on the team anymore, but the Raptors point guard was very quick to shoot that down.
