We’re still a few sleeps away from the start of the 2019 NBA Finals between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors, but analysts across North America are starting to weigh in and share their predictions for the upcoming series.

On Tuesday night, Magic Johnson, Stephen A. Smith, Michael Wilbon and Doc Rivers discussed the Raptors-Warriors series and shared some of their predictions as they previewed Game 1. While the Warriors are considered the favourites to come out on top in the series, the Lakers legend is going with the Eastern Conference champions in the opening game of the series.

Magic Johnson talked about how during his playing days when he would never want a day off because once a player finds a rhythm in their shot they don’t want to stop what they’re doing in case they get out of the flow. Since the Warriors will head into Game 1 on nine days of rest, Magic thinks that Game 1 is the Raptors’ to lose since they’re still somewhat fresh and have home court advantage.
