Connor McDavid and Leon Drasaitl might go down in NHL history as one of the best duos to ever play the game, and they’re only midway through their twenties.

The two Edmonton Oilers superstars have lit up the league the past few years, but the past two years they’ve been extremely impressive, even to their standards.

This past weekend, Connor McDavid became the first player in the league to hit the 60-point mark, while Leon Draisaitl became the second player in the league to hit the 50-point mark. By doing so, the Oilers duo became just the second set of teammates to be the first two players to outright hit the 50-point mark in consecutive seasons.

Draisaitl and McDavid join Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito as the only sets of teammates to accomplish the extremely impressive feat, and it took nearly 50 years to happen again.

McDavid also joined another extremely impressive list this past weekend as he became the fastest player to hit 60 points in a season since Mario Lemieux in 2002-03.

Since their embarrassing series against the Maple Leafs, the Oilers have looked like an entirely new team and are a win away from taking over top spot in the North Division.
