Milos Raonic, Tennis Canada create scholarships in honour of van attack victim Anne Marie D'Amico

It was an emotional night at the Rogers Cup on Monday.

Following Milos Raonic’s straight sets victory over David Goffin, the Canadian tennis star joined the family and friends of Anne Marie D’Amico, a victim of the Toronto van attack from this past April, at centre court to honour Anne Marie, who was also a long-time volunteer at the Rogers Cup.  
 

Thanks to Raonic, the Rogers Cup, New Balance and Tennis Canada, Anne Marie’s legacy will live on forever at the tournament as they’ve created an award in her honour: one for exemplary volunteer customer service scholarship, and will also provide a $2,500 scholarship to a ball kid in both Toronto and Montreal.
 

Volunteers and staff members will also honour Anne Marie by wearing red bracelets with the phrase “What would Anne Marie do?” inscribed on them.
