Monday was an interesting day in the NBA as Kawhi Leonard was finally introduced to the Toronto Raptors media, while DeMar DeRozan was introduced to the San Antonio Spurs media. As Raptors fans finally got to hear Leonard speak for the first time, Spurs fans also got a chance to hear from their newest member, even though he’s spoken many times since the trade.
While DeRozan was at the podium answering questions for the reporters he was interrupted by one of his new teammates, who just looking to welcome him to town with open arms.
Pau Gasol stepped up and welcomed DeRozan to the team in the middle of his interview, but the four-time NBA All-Star didn’t seem to mind one bit as he fully embraced the encounter.
As for DeRozan, he’s definitely on a mission this season.
