Welcome to The Show, Rasmus Dahlin!

On Friday night, the Swedish prospect was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres with the number one pick. Dahlin was the consensus top player available and will now take his skills to a Sabres team in desperate need of help on the back end.

Even while playing cross-seas, the defenceman heard rumblings of the ongoing rivalry between the Sabres and their Atlantic Division rival Toronto Maple Leafs, and insisted he’s looking forward to taking part in their matchups over the coming year.

The rivalry hasn’t exactly been fierce recently. While the Sabres have continuously finished near the bottom of the league’s standings, Toronto has ascended into one of the more dominant squads in the Eastern Conference. The addition of Dahlin, however, should change that for years to come.

Rasmus Dahlin continues to embarrass defenders 👀👀 . Who will draft him this year?

Buffalo will host the Leafs for the first time with their new defenceman on December 4th, so make sure to mark that one in your calendar.
