The AHL playoffs are right around the corner so every win matters right now for the teams still looking to officially clinch a spot in the postseason. One of the teams currently in the hunt is the Grand Rapids Griffins, who own a 37-24-1-7 record for 82 points in 69 games.

On Wednesday night the Griffins picked up a much-needed victory over the Texas Stars in a shootout and one of the nicest goals from the extra frame came off the stick of Red Wings prospect Filip Hronek, who nearly deked the goalie right out of his equipment with his slick hands.

The goal was a big one for the Griffins as it tied things up at 1 and was the first of three goals that led them to a victory.
