People within the hockey community expected Rasmus Dahlin to go first overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, so once everyone found out the first pick was going to the Buffalo Sabres everyone knew exactly who they were taking.

Although the NHL regular season is still a couple of months away players around the league are starting to put in the work for the upcoming season, especially prospects. On Wednesday, the Sabres shared a fantastic photo of their highly touted prospect on a jet ski getting ready to head to Buffalo to put in some work.

We’re not sure what the point of this photoshoot was or why they decided it would be best to put the 18-year-old defenceman on a jet ski, but we’re all for it and so are Sabres fans.

Hopefully this starts the return of awkward photoshoots featuring NHL players.
