Ovi’s time with the Stanley Cup is coming to a close, but it hasn’t been without some entertaining, heartwarming, and downright hilarious moments. On Sunday, Ovi took the Cup out on one last date before saying his goodbye. Following a visit to the World Cup, Ovi took hockey’s most prized possession for a trip through Moscow’s famous Red Square.

The thing about this was, nobody was expecting it.

In terrific video and photographic content you can see Ovi walking through the Square with shocked residents and tourists looking on. He doesn’t really stop to do much, just taking a casual stroll through one of Moscow’s busiest areas. Would you expect anything else from the Great 8 at this point?

As it turns out, he wasn’t the only Caps superstar to be in Moscow that day..

After everything that has come out after the first month of Ovi as a Stanley Cup champion, we’re pretty sure that a few fans will be hoping the Russian wins it again next year. Nobody celebrates a Cup victory quite like Ovi.
