The Alex Ovechkin victory tour continues, after the longtime NHL great finally managed to capture that elusive Stanley Cup; now, it’s time to celebrate. No doubt, there’s still much ahead of Ovi in terms of scheduled media appearances and team parades to attend, which, at least logistically, can be their own source of stress.

Due back in D.C. for the first of what surely will be many parties with ecstatic Capitals fans, at least Ovi is traveling in style:

Now that’s one happy family photo.

Of course, Ovi, also the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy, has the right over anyone else on that Washington Capitals to take primary ownership of the Cup. That isn’t to pretend there’s competition and in-fighting within the team where there isn’t any, but it just means that if anybody gets to do this, it’s Ovi:

It’s after years of hard work in the league that Ovi has finally managed to find a team that caught fire at the right time, with the right amount of puck luck, to beat out every other competitor gunning for the title. The hardware reflects the hardships, so, sweet dreams, fella. He’s earned it after a season of grinding, and already, one night of crazy partying:
