Despite all the news and rumours surrounding Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus has managed to put together an in impressive four-game winning streak that’s pushed them into a tie for first place with the Washington Capitals in the Metropolitan Division.

The Blue Jackets came out firing on Tuesday night as they scored three goals in the opening period in their 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils. Following the game, head coach John Tortorella didn’t waste much time with a post-game speech as he kept it short and simple by rewarding his team with a day off tomorrow. After being told they now have the day off and get to sleep in, you can bet it was music to everyone’s ears.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, when you get told the upcoming work – or school - day has been cancelled and you’ve been given the day off you’re going to celebrate like you just won it all.

Looks like the Blue Jackets are having a blast right now even with all the off-ice noise that’s been following them around as of late.
