Brian Boyle was a member of the New Jersey Devils for just over a season and a half but Devils fans really helped him make New Jersey feel like home during his stint with the team. On Wednesday afternoon Boyle’s time with the Devils came to an end as he was traded to the Nashville Predators in a deal that sent the Preds’ 2019 second round pick back the other way to New Jersey.

New Jersey was a special place for Boyle and his family as the Devils fan base really backed him during his fight against cancer and helped him beat it.

After the trade news became official Boyle met with the Devils media one last time before heading out to join his new team and he made sure to share a very special and emotional message with Devils fans.

It’s easy to see why Boyle is highly respected around the league and wherever he plays and we’re guessing it won’t take long for him to fit in with the guys inside the Predators’ locker room.
