A lot of NHL analysts and writers expected the Montreal Canadiens to finish somewhere near the top of the Eastern Conference standings and certainly expected them to be a playoff team this year. However, it’s been a disastrous season from the get go for the Habs and now they’re just waiting for the season to wrap up.

With the team sitting nearly 20 points out of a playoff spot and just five games remaining, the guys are trying to forget about the upsetting season and are having some fun before they go their separate ways in the offseason. On Tuesday afternoon, the guys hit up Olympic Stadium where they took part in batting practice ahead of the Toronto Blue Jays’ game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

It was an obvious choice for the guys as to which threads they should rock for batting practice as every single one of the guys who participated rocked the Blue Jays colours and logos.

They didn’t all bring the power, though, as only Brett Lernout and Jeff Petry were the only two players who managed to go deep during the batting practice.
