CC Sabathia has been a starting MLB pitcher for the past 18 years so you would think he would have the whole accuracy thing on lock by now, but apparently he’s still working on that.

The New York Yankees paid a visit to the Boston Red Sox on Thursday evening and the 37-year-old got the bump for the visitors. With a runner on first  base in the bottom the third inning, catcher Blake Swihart stepped up to the plate and drilled the ball right back at Sabathia. The Yankees pitcher was quick to recover, only his attempt at getting the out at first base was way, way off.

The Red Sox ended up taking advantage of the error by driving in the run before the end of the inning. Sabathia ended up leaving the game after the inning, and it got even worse for the Yankees after that as they gave up 8 runs the following inning.

Sabathia owns a 6-4 record this season and has 85 strikeouts over 104.2 innings of work.
