Max Domi was selected 12th overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Arizona Coyotes and went on to spend his first three seasons with the franchise before he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens this past offseason.

On Thursday night, the 23-year-old made his first trip back to the desert since the trade and he was welcomed back with open arms by the Coyotes fans, who teamed up with the Canadiens’ social media team for this awesome video.

Domi might have only spent three seasons in Arizona, but that was more than enough time to make an impact on the fans and the city. From his work within the surrounding communities to being a role model for young aspiring hockey players living with diabetes, it’s easy to see why the Winnipeg, Manitoba native was so loved and appreciated during his short stint with the team.

While Domi didn’t record a point in his lone visit to the desert this season, his Canadiens did manage to pick up the 2-1 victory on the road, which also happened to be Carey Price’s 300th career win.
