A little bounce can go a very long way, just ask Texas Stars defenceman Joel Hanley.

On Wednesday night the Stars paid a visit to the Manitoba Moose and the 27-year-old scored the easiest goal of his career thanks to some help from a stanchion behind the Moose’s net.

Hanley was just looking to get the puck in deep so his teammates could make the necessary line change to get fresh legs out onto the ice, but instead he managed to give them a little bit of a longer rest with his 5th goal of the campaign.

It’s easily one of the weirdest bounces we’ve ever seen considering it managed to end up in the back of the net, but luckily for Eric Comrie it didn’t change the outcome of the game as the Moose escaped with a 4-3 victory.
