The Pittsburgh Pirates crushed the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night, but the Reds didn’t go down without a fight.

In the top of the ninth inning, Reds pitcher Amir Garrett had heard and seen enough from the Pirates and took matters into his own hands as he rushed Pittsburgh’s dugout and was fully prepared to take on the entire team, including the coaches.

Plenty of fans and athletes weighed in on the bench-clearing brawl considering it started with one player taking on an entire team and ended with a player who had just been traded moments before in the middle of it all. One person who got a kick out of the whole thing was former NHLer Darcy Tucker, who had this to say about the scrap.

Tucker wasn’t the only former Maple Leaf to chime in on the bout as Tie Domi was a big fan of what he witnessed.

It wasn’t the most intense bench-clearing brawl, but it was wild enough to get some guys who know a thing or two about dropping the gloves in the NHL into the conversation.
