Yasiel Puig was traded to the Cleveland Indians as part of a three-team trade on Tuesday night, but he made sure to go down swinging for his now former teammates one more time before he packed his bags.

With the Reds trailing the Pittsburgh Pirates 11-3 in the bottom of the ninth inning on Tuesday, Reds pitcher Amir Garrett clearly had enough of the Pirates and charged the dugout ready to take on anyone and everyone.

We’re not sure what was said in the exchange between Garrett and the Pirates players, but whatever it was caused the Reds’ pitcher to come in hot and it didn’t take very long for a bunch of his teammates to follow behind him. One person who was extremely active in the bench-clearing brawl was Yasiel Puig, who went to bat for Garrett despite being traded minutes before this all broke out.

You can say what you want about Yasiel Puig, but he’ll always have your back if he’s on your team. Hey, he’ll even have your back if he’s not on your team anymore.
