The New Jersey Devils selected defenceman Colton White with the 97th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and he’s starting to make a name for himself at the next level.

Following the 2015 draft, White returned to the OHL and spent the next two years with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and split time during the 2017-18 season in the ECHL with the Adirondack Thunder and in the AHL with the Binghamton Devils. Now, the 21-year-old has a permanent spot on the AHL roster, until the team decides to call him up, and he’s made an impact early on this season.

On Friday night, the London, Ontario native scored his second goal of the season and it was a very memorable one.

The Devils prospect pulled off a fantastic spin-o-rama to get around Chris Conner and then finished off the play by going top shelf from a nearly impossible angle.

White managed just two goals and nine points in 47 AHL games last season but already has two goals this season and has three points through nine games.

That’s winning the game in style.
