You’re probably well aware by now that Thursday night was Scott Hartnell Night in Philadelphia for the tilt between the Flyers and the Nashville Predators. With Hartnell being one of the most beloved players in Flyers history, fans of all ages made sure to attend the game to thank Hartnell for his services over the years.

The 36-year-old did all sorts of things throughout the night, including dropping the puck for the ceremonial faceoff between Claude Giroux and Roman Josi, and he made sure the two captains worked for their faceoff win.

According to former NHL goalie and Hartnell’s former Predators teammate Chris Mason, the 6th overall pick from the 2000 NHL Entry Draft told both Josi and Giroux that he expected them to battle for the win and they did not let him down.
