It’s open season for NBA free agents, and there's no shortage of rumours swirling about which teams are going big game hunting for some of the league’s biggest stars, many of whom hit the open market today at 6 pm.

If you’re Canadian, and you loved the taste of an NBA Championship, you’re probably keeping a close eye on Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, who is easily one of the most sought after Free Agents in the star-studded class.

The underlying stress for Raptors fans all season long was whether or not the team would be able to keep Leonard north of the border for more than a season, and have pulled out all the stops in trying to woo him into staying; from free food, to free condos, to free hockey.

Soon, fans will finally have an answer to the question “He stay?”, and some rumours have been circulating indicating that he could be headed back to the United States

According to Ramona Shelburne, Magic Johnson has been in contact with Leonard about the potential of going to the Lakers, and although he’s not allowed to be apart of official team meetings with free agents, the duo have almost definitely been in contact.

While we’re all on the edge of our seats to see where Kawhi does end up going, at least we can relax a little with the knowledge that we will soon have a definite answer. It is Kawhi, though, and we don’t imagine he’s in any rush.
