Kawhi Leonard made his highly anticipated Toronto Raptors debut on Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers and he did not disappoint in the slightest bit. The 27-year-old led all players in minutes played as he clocked in just over 37 minutes in his debut and finished with an impressive 24 points and 13 rebounds in that time.

Following the game, the two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year joined TSN’s Kate Beirness courtside after the game to discuss the emotions he felt getting back into NBA action and what it meant to him to get the response he got throughout the night from the Raptors faithful.

Leonard was everything Raptors fans expected and more in his season debut and they welcomed him with open arms right from the get-go as he got an incredible standing ovation from the home crowd when he was introduced for the very first time.
