The Major League Baseball season is a long one, so players are always trying to come up with different ways to have some fun throughout the year.

Themed road trips have become one of the biggest trends in baseball over the years and players are always coming up with different themes to roll with year after year.

Following their victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday afternoon to wrap up their nine-game homestand, the Los Angeles Angels departed for Seattle to kick off a nine-game road trip and the players rocked their favourite NBA jersey for the plane ride.

Angels superstar Mike Trout is a fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, so you can bet he came ready to roll in his Philadelphia 76ers jersey.

The players managed to include a nice mixture of current and former NBA players, including Shaq, Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Steph Curry, Dennis Rodman, Allen Iverson, Mike Bibby, and there were even a couple of Toronto Raptors jerseys.

The Chicago Cubs are another team that’s pretty big on themed road trips. So far this year, the Cubs have taken off for road trips in their best Anchorman-style suits and recently departed for a road trip on the west coast by going with an Easy Rider theme.

It’s nice to see the players have some fun like this on their spare time and the fans certainly appreciate it.
