Marc-Andre Fleury was a fan favourite in Pittsburgh during his time with the Penguins and he instantly became a fan favourite in Vegas the moment the Golden Knights added the three-time Stanley Cup winner to their roster.
On Thursday night, the Golden Knights were in St. Louis for a tilt with the Blues and the 35-year-old spotted a young fan of his in the crowd holding a sign that had a message for the Vegas netminder on it.
Fleury’s always been a man of the fans, so it’s not surprising that he took a quick moment out of the pregame warm-ups to make a birthday wish come true.
Going to an NHL game on your birthday is a pretty good way to spend your big day, but getting to snap a selfie with your favourite player is the cherry on top.
It’s going to be hard to top this birthday going forward, but it’s one he’ll never forget.
