Marc Gasol hasn’t even been a member of the Toronto Raptors for a full week yet but Raptors fans have made sure to make him feel right at home since the moment the team acquired him from the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 34-year-old made his Raptors debut on Saturday night in New York against the Knicks, where he scored seven points and added six rebounds in 19 minutes of work off the bench, and Monday night he finally got to play in front of his new hometown fans. The 2013 NBA Defensive Player of the Year didn’t start against the Brooklyn Nets, but when he checked into the game in the first quarter fans made sure to welcome him with a nice standing ovation.

We’ve seen hometown fans welcome new players with open arms before, but this might be the first time we’ve seen the hometown crowd give the newest addition to the team a standing ovation as he comes off the bench in his first home game with the team. It’s a nice welcoming for Gasol, who will hopefully catch on to Kyle Lowry’s player introduction as soon as possible.

Looks like @MarcGasol didn’t get the memo on @kyle_lowry7’s pregame ritual 😂😂
