It’s been a pretty wild year for goalie Mike McKenna.

After signing a one-year, two-way contract with the Ottawa Senators this past offseason, the 35-year-old played six games in a Belleville Senators jersey and 10 in an Ottawa Senators jersey before he was dealt to the Vancouver Canucks. McKenna went on to dress as Jacob Markstrom’s backup for two games before he was claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Flyers, where he seems to have found a new home due to all their injuries in between the pipes.

The St. Louis, Missouri native debuted his all black equipment just over a week ago and now he’s got a fantastic new Flyers-themed mask to match.

McKenna’s new Flyers mask was designed by Ray Bishop of Bishop Designs and it’s only right that it features a Gritty tribute in some way.

The mask might not be the answer to the Flyers’ recent issues, but at least the fans will get a kick out of it.
