July 1 is right around the corner which means players around the NHL are listening to pitches and working on new contracts heading into next season, but not every player is trying to figure out their next contract right now.

Montreal Canadiens Carey Price, Shea Weber and Brendan Gallagher are a few players who aren’t worrying about expired contracts at the moment and Friday they were in Kelowna for the HOMEBASE Tournament in support of the KGH Foundation.

One team was represented by Blake Comeau, while the other was run by Josh Gorges, and there were plenty of past and present NHLers on the rosters.

We all know that Shea Weber has an absolute bullet of a shot and he’s injured a lot of players over the course of his career with it, so it makes sense that he can crush home runs like it’s his full-time job.

Maybe Weber will consider being the first player to try the NHL-MLB crossover.
