Wednesday, June 28, 2017, was a very eventful day in the NBA.

The day started off with the Knicks firing Phil Jackson, which was shortly followed up by a report from Adrian Wojnarowski that the Knicks were targeting Raptors’ Masai Ujiri as Jackson’s replacement.

From there the news shifted to the Western Conference as the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers shocked the league by pulling off a massive eight-player trade which involved nine-time All-Star Chris Paul.

After it was all said and done, the Rockets shipped Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Darrun Hilliard, DeAndre Liggins, Lou Williams, Kyle Wiltjer, a future first round pick and cash considerations to the Clippers in exchange for Chris Paul.

However, while all the focus was on the Clippers, Rockets, Knicks and Raptors, the Portland Trail Blazers pulled off a trade of their own with the Rockets as they sent Tim Quarterman to Houston in exchange for cash considerations.

Since everyone was going crazy over the Clippers and Rockets deal, the Blazers had some fun with their trade on Twitter as they welcomed their newest acquisition to the team.

The Memphis Grizzlies joined in on the fun and the two teams went back and forth in a mini exchange on Twitter.

Then the Detroit Pistons also joined in.

The newest member of the Blazers, Cash Considerations, even has a Basketball Reference page set up now.

The Blazers’ Twitter account is one of the best in all of sports and they managed to do it again with these fantastic tweets.
