The Washington Capitals captured their first Stanley Cup in franchise history in Las Vegas on Thursday night and ended up spending the night there to celebrate their historic victory.

After a night out on the town that included bottle service at a Las Vegas nightclub and a special appearance on stage with Tiesto, the Caps finally returned home with hockey’s greatest prize on Friday evening and there were plenty of happy faces waiting to see them.

The team’s plane also ended up getting a water salute as it pulled into Dulles Airport.

Tom Wilson and T.J. Oshie were the first two Caps players to make appearance in the community with the Stanley Cup, as they arrived in Clarendon around 7:30pm local time.

This is just the first of many celebrations the Caps will be part of back home in the following days, but we’re guessing they don’t have any issues with all the public appearances they’re about to make.
