There’s pretty much a competition for everything these days. From tuna throwing to toe wrestling to an air guitar championship, there’s literally a contest for anything you can think of – or not think of.
This past weekend the first-ever slapping championship was held in Siberia and it’s exactly what it sounds like; two people going back and forth exchanging vicious slaps across the face.
There was basically only two rules, no blocking the opponent’s strike and no ducking out of the way. In the video above, you see eventual champion Vasily Kamotsky knock out his opponent with one of the most vicious slaps we’ve ever seen and he’s not the only person Kamotsky knocked out in the tournament.
Kamotsky pretty much destroyed every person he went up against and nearly knocked them all off their feet, and he went home 30,000 Russian Ruble, equivalent to roughly $620 Canadian.
